  2003 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a very good wine. I find that the front palate fruit is softer/subdued in comparison to the 2003 McLaren Vale shiraz, but it finishes nicely with hints of cigar box wood (or something similar). L S Canberra

2004 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has amazing up front fruit, considering it’s a 13 year old wine. The mid palate then opens up to complex characters which linger on the back palate. There is a lot going on with this ‘fruit driven’ wine. I prefer this wine over the 2003 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. James Tulloch - Perth

 

I’d like to purchase a case of the 2004 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon for cellaring (at 13⁰ C) for about 5 years. I believe that given time, this wine has the potential to rival the 2003 McLaren Vale Shiraz in terms of balance and may well better it in terms of complexity. R. M.  Port Macquarie NSW Feb 2017

Burton 2004 Coonawarra Cabernet

Just a note to pass on my praise of the 2004 Coonawarra Cab Sav.

We opened one last night and it was a perfect pairing to a roast pork rack.
