Tasting the 2005 Cabernet in Barrel.

It is the Burton policy not to release a wine until we believe that the fruit and oak are in harmony.  This can take a year or more after bottling.

The Following wines from the superb 2004 Vintage were shown to the trade at the recent Wine and Spirits Show with great feedback and were officially released at a Winemakers' Dinner at The Watermark in Sydney on

Burton 2004 McLaren Vale Shiraz and Burton 2004 Coonawarra Cabernet

The Following Wines were released at a Winemakers Dinner at Bilson's Restaurant in Sydney on the 16th August 2006

Burton 2003 McLaren Vale Shiraz and Burton 2003 Coonawarra Cabernet 
The drought affect 2003 vintage has led to low yields and intense fruit flavours.

After 2 years in oak and a further year of bottle maturation these fabulous wines which have captured the uniqueness of their region and variety are ready to be enjoyed.

Released August 2006. 

Burton 2005 McLaren Vale Chardonnay
The Burton 2005 McLaren Vale Chardonnay was released in August 2006.  This fruit driven wine again contains 10% Semillon giving straw and lemon characters to the melon flavours inherent in the Chardonnay component.
