Burton Watermark New Release Dinner

To celebrate the release of the Burton 2004 Vintage Coonawarra Cabernet and McLaren Vale Shiraz a Winemakers' Dinner was held at the Watermark Restaurant in Sydney. A four course dinner began with canapes and 2004 Chardonnay on the terrace overlooking Balmoral Beach.

Versace Dinner

To Coincide with the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show Burton held a a Winemakers Dinner at the Versace Hotel .Fabulous food, great wines and a superb location made for a wonderful evening enjoyed by all.

Ocean Ball

Bilsons New Release Dinner a Huge Success

2005 Mclaren Vale Chardonnay were released at 2 wonderfully successful SOLD OUT dinners at Bilsons . Nine Burton Wines were matched with
Tony Bilson's superb 4 course dinner including his signature dish
of Matelote of Barramundi served with Local Lobster and Hawkesbury Calamari.

Burton is chosen for First and Business Class on Qatar Airways

After a worldwide call for top Shiraz for Qatar Airways we submitted our 2000 McLaren Vale Shiraz for First Class and 2001 McLaren Vale Shiraz for Business Class.  In a hotly contested tasting in Paris that included submissions from Torbrek, St Hallett (Blackwell), D’Arenberg and Cape Mentelle we WON both classes. From August 2006 you can fly over 60 destinations around the world and drink Burton in both classes, a first for any winery.

Late last year Qatar Airways were awarded five major awards for Airline excellence including the much coveted five star award for excellence, service and high standards; best first class and business class product in the Middle East; best cabin crew in the Middle East for the third year running, and best first class lounge in the Middle East.

Corporate Wine Tastings

The wine tasting evenings are first and foremost fun occasions. They can also be educational as I attend, and speak, on a range of interesting wine related topics such as; what is going on in the industry, vineyard management, the winery, marketing, varietal and regional differences cellaring, value for money, aging, and always popular, an insight into the judging system, what judges look for and how to rate wines.

Each person has an opportunity to rate the Burton wines for colour,nose and palate and "award" medals as they see fit. Finally wine can be bought on the night at discounted prices and delivered in the following few days.
